How Will You Bulk Delete Photos & Images In Bulk On IPhone & Ipad

Apple has made it easy to bulk delete photos on an iPhone or iPad. To permanently remove pictures from your device, you must erase them from your Recently Deleted Items album.

How to Bulk Delete Photos on an iPhone or iPad

Although there’s no option to delete all of your photos at once, you can highlight groups of pictures for easy deletion:

  1. Tap the rainbow-looking flower icon to launch the iPhone Photos app. It’s usually located between the Calendar and Camera apps on the iPhone home screen or between the Mail and Music apps on the iPad home screen.

  2. Tap Photos (the icon with two overlapping rectangles in the bottom-left corner) to see all of your photos grouped by the date they were taken.

  3. Tap Select in the upper-right of the screen.

  4. Tap each group of photos you wish to remove. If there happens to be one photo in a group that you don’t want to erase, just tap it after everything else is selected to deselect the image.

Alternatively, you can drag your finger across multiple photos or groups to select them for deletion.

  5. Once you’ve selected the images you want to remove, tap the trashcan icon in the bottom-right (for iPhone) or top-left (for the iPad).

  6. Confirm that you want to delete the pictures.

Recover and Permanently Delete Photos

After removing your files, you may notice that they are still taking up space on your device. That’s because Apple automatically places your deleted photos in the Recently Deleted Items folder in case you want to recover them.

To see and permanently remove your deleted items:

  1. Open the Photo app.

  2. Tap Albums in the lower-right corner.

  3. Tap the Recently Deleted folder.

  4. Tap Select in the upper-right corner.

  5. Tap either Delete All or Recover All.

Occasionally, permanently deleting photos still won’t free up any memory. If this happens, try updating your device, or use a program like i Explorer to find and eliminate hidden files.
